Over and beyond our expectations! It's easy to shine in good times, but this skeleton crew stepped up and made us feel more than safe and comfortable during Tropical Storm Irma when we arrived after evacuating Florida just before the hurricane hit. They fed us delicious meals several times each day, they accommodated not only our every need, but even our small indulgences. They were always cheerful, even as the days and nights grew long and they were likely concerned about their own homes and families and tired from sleepless nights of serving all of us. I will never forget their hospitality and generosity. Savannah is a beautiful city with beautiful people who put others above themselves. Now that the storm has passed, we look forward to exploring this great little city and all the delicious foods they have to offer. But were really looking forward to trying B's own contemporary restaurant Kitchen320 for their famous shrimp & grits tonight for dinner! Mark, Quincy and staff, we will never forget all you did for us, and we shall definitely be back! God bless you all.
Very modern remodel however, the place is dirty. Take one look at either elevator inside and you'll see first hand. Our bathroom had the smell of pee our entire trip... Yuck. The facilities itself needed more attention. Hallways had chipped baseboard paint, new chairs in the restaurant had scuff marks on the back of them. No suitcase stands in the room is very inconvenient as well one very trash can per room located in the bathroom. The staff was extremely friendly. There's a hotel restaurant but no room service. I don't think I'll have a repeat stay if need arises.
We stayed here recently on a girl's weekend trip and had a wonderful experience. All of the staff, from the front desk and valet to the concierge and restaurant staff were amazing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and quiet. The beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again next time we're in town!
***edit*** I actually returned and all went well. I had a much better experience. Mark the manager made things right and I really appreciate it, thank you. Our room was perfect and the staff was very pleasant. Busy hotel. At first glance walking into the lobby everything seemed great and clean. The carpet was damp in our room at about the halfway point of entering. I thought maybe they just shampooed the carpets..? Well we were starving after checking in so we went to eat came back and went to bed since the day was very busy. That next morning when I woke up I stepped out of the bed the bed and side closest to the window. I felt mushy, wet, super soaked carpet, ICK! So I went down stairs to the front desk and told the tall man about it. He said maintenance would check it out, nobody came. House keeping came and I explained that I was hoping she was maintenance.. I told her what was going on.. She said they have been having this problem in several rooms. I personally will not be staying again.
Overall we loved B Historic! There is valet parking available but we chose to park in the parking garage ourselves across the street that was only $10 overnight, so that was good. Inside is beautiful, just like the photos online, lobby, restaurant and room. The staff is also very courteous and ready to assist in any way. Not a noisy area at all and the bed and pillows we're very comfortable, so we slept well. I don't think I have anything negative to say about B Historic at all!
