This is a halfway point for my brother to meet me from Florida and from my home in NC. We've met here several times to child swap. I love the atmosphere of Sentient Bean. There is art by local artists on the walls that seems to be on a balanced rotation. The patrons and staff represent what appears to be very diverse cultural backgrounds. The employees have been very kind and helpful during every visit and every meal I've had has been delicious. Of course I must comment on the coffee which is fantastic.
If you are a vegan or vegetarian in the Savannah area, this is A MUST go to. The food is so amazing. Their vegan options or top notch. I got their protein packed salad and breakfast burrito. The coffee was great too. Plenty of seating and nice people. They also have some great pastries. I had their lavender cake, so good.
I love going to this place for an amazing coffee and a chill vibe. I only give four stars because the baristas are a little snobby to people that don't look like their typical local clientele. I'm sure this is due to the random tourists that come in but business is business and everyone should feel welcome. The coffee is great and the cafe food is amazing. I'm vegan so there a quite a few options to choose from here. I wish they had coconut milk available but they do have soy or almond milk. The addition of local art adds to a very relaxed and unique local experience.
For open mic night did not stick to time limit therefore many wanting to participate couldn't have the chance because time ran out, however the hostess took her time to sing and perform at the beginning and end when that turn could have been given to someone else. Recurrent participants should have been place for last and new participants at the front to give opportunity to the ones that have never been at the stage to participate. I have so much more to say but will leave it here. Hope administration will review and better organize this events to be enjoyable for all and take in consideration people traveling long distances that could not have the chance to take the stage due to the disorganization and preference given to some individuals.
Lots of vegan options. Seating options were plentiful, with an outdoor seating area nestled up against a fruiting lime tree. Tried a couple burritos, the vegan breakfast burrito and BBQ tofu wrap were both pretty good, but the side of greens was more like a garnish. Also had the vegan super bowl which was good yet really underwhelming because of lack of toppings; looks more like a side dish but it's described as a grandiose meal. Soup of the day (be healthy soup) was very good and hearty, served with two slices of warm bread. A good place to eat but not the very best veg food I've had.
