About Beacon Rock State Park, Seattle

Beacon Rock State Park is a publicly owned recreation area and natural history site on Route 14 in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area about 35 miles (56 km) east of Vancouver, Washington, United States. The state park covers 5,100 acres (2,100 ha), which includes 9,500 feet (2,900 m) of Columbia River shoreline and 4,482 acres (1,814 ha) of forested uplands. • Not too tough, trail is semi paved, view from the top is absolutely beautiful. Grew up in washougal & hiked this often as a young girl, looking forward to taking my daughter here. You can actually feed the chipmunks at the top & they will literally eat from you hand!

  • Amazing park! You can go hiking or just swim and have a picnic. If you live in Oregon Vancouver or something close you should of get the 30USD year pass for your car so you can come whenever you want otherwise you can get a 10USD day pass. And if you coming by boat is 70 cents per day.

  • Beautiful. An incredible view of the Columbia River Gorge from the top. Good geologic information.
