Chihuly Garden And Glass, Seattle Reviews
Incredibly beautiful and interesting glass exhibit. There is a Native American collection of photos, baskets, blankets and Chihuly glass. Very beautiful. The way the indoor exhibits are displayed and the lighting used really brings out the best in his glass works. Absolutely stunning. Nighttime is also a visual delight as the art glass is illuminated. The gardens filled with his art glass are enchanting. Don't miss this amazing exhibit. There is also the Collections Cafe where you can have a meal or snack and there is a gift shop.
Museum is beautiful. The coat check was free which made it a lot easier to enjoy the museum. We went through it pretty quickly, less than 2 hours. There are video clips of Chihuly creating his sculptures in a small theater area. Each clip is 5 minutes long. I would recommend watching at least a few of them because they really complemented the experience of walking through the exhibits.
This was a fun exhibit to go to. I didn't know much about glass blowing art. Dale Chihuly is a one of a kind artist. It was neat to discover that the Pacific Northwest is considered the glass art capitol of the world. We got in for $19 a person. I think the price could have been a little better, but all together it was a great experience. TIP: There is a coat check, we left a lot of items there. As tourist's you carry around a lot of stuff, and it's good to be able to put stuff down.
I was totally amazed at the amount of glass art that was there was truly amazing. I have never seen such beautiful work as these artist has accomplished. There are many different types and styles. This is definitely a handicap friendly museum and garden. The signage is clear from the road. Below I have given you photos of just some of this beautiful art work. Enjoy!
I really love this place. The glass artwork is gorgeous and breathtaking. Inside the building the glass “glows” with strategic light placement. You cannot take a bad photo in this place! The garden is a sweet stroll right next to the Space Needle. Even non-artsy people can enjoy this.
