The centre was formed after Bernie Whitebear invoked an old law that said surplus military land would be returned to Native Americans. Though the primary function of this cultural centre is as a space where Native Americans can meet and be empowered, tourists might be interested in their permanent collection and art gallery, which represents works by the best artists in contemporary Indian and Alaskan Native art. Additionally, the centre also organises special arts and crafts events and exhibitions that cover clothes, jewelry, woodwork, and prints. Check the website for upcoming events.

Beautiful facility. Gorgeous art gallery. Wonderful annual powwow. Awe inspiring natural setting. Powerful celebration of indigenous culture. This is Indian land.
Offering lots of services! You don't have to be first nation native to get help here, they offer an outstanding GED program. They don't make you take classes, you can opt for the test alone.
Fantastic culture experience and great day to be out and about. Good vibes, good people and even better food! Been coming here for 4 years and it's been great every time.
We had an amazing time at the Northwest Powwow. This is a pretty rare opportunity for us to see these amazing people share their culture with us. I am grateful to the Northwest Nations for sharing this celebration with us!
Beautiful, cultural art work and wonderful scenery. Easy to get to for a day time experience. Nice playground and trails too.
