Have you seen the movie, Up? About the little old man who would not give up his beloved house to property developers, and in the end made it fly away on balloons? Yes, this was the century old nail house that inspired the movie. Surrounded by concrete walls on all sides, the house is famous for it's owner's David vs. Goliath-esque battle to keep her property preserved. The battle made Edith a local folk hero, and after the movie came out, it's not uncommon to see balloons tied to the house's fence. It's still there, but has been sold off now. It is private property, so you cannot go inside. You may want to visit it quickly though, for there is no telling when the house may be demolished.
