  • Awesome experience. The ranger was informative. The colorful tall trees were beautiful, the sight of the summit of Mt Rainier was amazing! Went with my husband, daughter, and my grand babies (3 and 4 years old) and was mesmerized. We went on Thursday afternoon and had no trouble entering and exiting.

  • Can I rate this 10/5?? This and Rainier are deep engraved in my memory. An experience like no other and can't wait to come back here again!

  • My first National Park. Approaching this was very exciting and led us onto one of the most incredible experiences in our life! Crazy beautiful!!

  • Love this place! Will definitely make a day trip next time in Washington State!

  • The Nisqually Entrance is at the very SW corner of the Mt. Rainier National Park, convenient from Ashford, Eatonville, and near the Mt. Rainier Historic Railroad as well as the other towns along Washington State Hwy. 706. The road is well kept and easy driving. The road follows and crosses the Nisqually River, and the buildings there are some of the oldest in the park. The Nisqually River is 81-miles long and is fed by the Nisqually Glacier up slope on Mt. Rainier. The water will be the milky gray color associated with glacial runoff and 'braided' in appearance, so that it often does not fill the rocky channel. We thought it restful and attractive.
