Seattle's central hub for all things wonderful is the Pioneer Square. Named after the famous Chief Seattle of the local American Indian tribe, this is the central melting pot of culture and activity in the city. It has a Tlingit Totem Pole, a Victorian Pergola and the bust of Chief Seattle in a little park as the central feature of this old settlement. Local businesses, arts and craft are all bunched together in a lively neighborhood.
The city has one more interesting feature- that is the city's underground level. In the past the city has faced floods and fire which caused destruction but they rebuilt the city each time. They have still maintained the lower levels and you can see the rest of buildings rising up from those points. Old elevators, pretty woodwork and old structures are all part of this locale. A tour of the underground is recommended and is an adventure. For something different there's even a tour of the ghost and paranormal activity in the city!
