If you want a great view of Seattle: make sure to check this out! In fact, I think I'd even recommend this over the Space Needle to be honest. I've done it a total of 3 times (once at night, one at sunset, and one in the day time), and each time was cool and unique. I think I prefer it at (or close to) night the most. If I may add this caveat though: a friend of mine felt super claustrophobic in one of the rides. It was a warm day, so maybe that had something to do with it? But I wasn't effected, and I enjoyed the great view! Just thought I'd add that though because apparently, it's not for everyone.
Not too bad on pricing for the amount of time you spend on the ride. I forgot that you couldn't bring food or drink on the ride but the staff were nice enough to watch my cupcakes for me. They're awesome! Also, the night view of the city was beautiful 😍
I came to Seattle for a one day trip and, naturally, wanted to see the touristy stuff! This ride was really decently priced and TOTALLY worth it! You ride around 3-4 times and you get a fantastic view of the city! The line may seem long but it moved very quickly. You get a clear view of the water and mountains in front of you and the amazing city behind. I was originally planning on going inside of the Space Needle as well but I think this honestly has a fairly similar view- if not better! Definitely worth a stop!
This is a great location for this great Ferris wheel! You get 3 rotations with great views of Seattle's waterfront and downtown. I went at night and had great views of the city lights, the Space Needle, and ferries and boats. At the ticket booth you can also get tickets to Wings over Washington, which I also highly recommend. You also have the opportunity to purchase a photo and there is a place to purchase beer and non-alcoholic drinks while in line. There are a lot of other tourist attractions and restaurants nearby as well.
Of course as a tourist, one must stop at the great wheel on the Puget Sound in Seattle. The boardwalk is really cute, with shops and eateries along it. There is another attraction on the pier called "Wings over Washington" which is a lot like a California Adventure ride BUT to do both things, it costs an arm and a leg. If you have money to blow, it's worth it but otherwise I'd choose the Great Wheel. As you crest the top, you can see far out over the sound, while the wind gently rocks your carriage. Fully enclosed, comfortable and air conditioned. We only waited 10 minutes in lounge but we were there on a Monday, mid afternoon. I've heard that waiting for sunset is the time to go because of the colors in the water. Definitely worth checking out.
