Seattle Great Wheel, Seattle Reviews - Write a Review
Great views and experience. One of the best Seattle landmarks and a must-see when in Seattle. Go up at night to enjoy the lights. The wait lines can be long, so be prepared. Take a camera to shoot from a nice vantage point up there. The ride is not that long, as you'll go around just a couple times. Enjoy the visit!
I had been to the Orlando Eye...so can't stop from comparing, but this looks like a normal Giant wheel in a local Carnival....you can't even stand and look around once in the cabin and way too expensive....the View is great though....I think the space Needle might be a better bet that this. Parking is right in front across the street so should not be a problem. The ride is for about 3 rotations of the wheel
If you want a great view of Seattle: make sure to check this out! In fact, I think I'd even recommend this over the Space Needle to be honest. I've done it a total of 3 times (once at night, one at sunset, and one in the day time), and each time was cool and unique. I think I prefer it at (or close to) night the most. If I may add this caveat though: a friend of mine felt super claustrophobic in one of the rides. It was a warm day, so maybe that had something to do with it? But I wasn't effected, and I enjoyed the great view! Just thought I'd add that though because apparently, it's not for everyone.
Not too bad on pricing for the amount of time you spend on the ride. I forgot that you couldn't bring food or drink on the ride but the staff were nice enough to watch my cupcakes for me. They're awesome! Also, the night view of the city was beautiful 😍
This is a great location for this great Ferris wheel! You get 3 rotations with great views of Seattle's waterfront and downtown. I went at night and had great views of the city lights, the Space Needle, and ferries and boats. At the ticket booth you can also get tickets to Wings over Washington, which I also highly recommend. You also have the opportunity to purchase a photo and there is a place to purchase beer and non-alcoholic drinks while in line. There are a lot of other tourist attractions and restaurants nearby as well.
