The Baha'i faith is really low key. It doesn't stand out. That makes this museum quite rare and unusual. In it, the museum's exhibits explore key moments in Seattle history and canon, and draw similarities from them to the basic tenets of the Baha'i. The volunteers are lovely, the ambience is friendly, and there is a very 'coffee and conversation' feel. The grounds are quite beautiful. By all accounts, visitors find the experience of this museum highly engaging and transformative. The exhibits look like someone decided to make their own home a museum space. You've never seen anything else like it.

The Unity Museum Reviews & Ratings

  • A creative Museum telling the history of WA and milestones using a model train and video presentations- so clever and really fun. Volunteers are quite cordial and helpful. A must do!!

  • The museum is on the second floor of a building on University Way (the heart of the University District). It's a long staircase up from the from the sidewalk. The museum is spacious and has several rooms. Two rooms house the majority of the exhibits. A library/conference room has a large table and is a great place for personal study or small group conversations. A public meeting lounge has attractive artwork, many comfy chairs and tables for snacks. I found the people working at the museum friendly and well-informed. The history of the Baha'i Faith is very interesting, dramatic and little-known. The story starts in the mid-1800s and is world-embracing -- the Baha'i community has members in pretty much every country, city, town and neighborhood all around the world. There are Baha'i communities on the smallest islands the South Pacific, and in many of the remotest jungles, deserts and mountains. Learning about all this was exciting! This museum is well worth a visit (or several). There is so much to explore and learn!

  • I am part of the museum volunteer staff. Yesterday afternoon we had a five star happening hosting 300 visitors with the "Up the Ave" event. What fun it was to mix it up with the public. "Y'all come back."

  • Great place, great company. Free museum, very friendly staff. Highly recommended. Great library as well.
