Cathedral Rock, Sedona Reviews - Write a Review
One of my favorite spots on earth. Hiking here is soul healing. It took us about six hours. Although it was raining a little bit but we enjoyed it to the max. We came here and March 2017. It was phenomenal. It's really impressive to see the red rock country and enjoy the fresh air. I love Arizona. I love Sedona.
Sun Road. The light of the sun will show you how beautiful the terrain is and you will get lost any words. Just feel powerful energy from sunlight early morning.
A little too many tourists, but beautiful all the same.
The trip up is a work out, but the views are spectacular.
The Cathedral Rock area is considered to be the location of an energy "upflow" vortex, one that is supposed to provide an inspired feeling, great oneness and serenity. Whether or not the vortex exists (I definitely made it up the steep trail with a lot of energy, but my companion was pooped by the time he got on top), the view at the top of the trail will definitely give you that feeling. I highly highly recommend taking the trail up until you reach the spectacular view on top (see my photo here). It's one you can never forget! Take care going up and down, and give yourself sufficient time. There is no clear "trail" throughout the way up, and you may need to scramble rock as you go up. So plan accordingly and take your time.
