One of the first things that you would identify with Singapore would be its iconic Merlion landmark. The 37 meter statue of a lion and fish hybrid provides some great photo ops; the view from within the mouth of the Merlion too is spectacular. Almost 12 stories high, it looks as if the statue is the guardian of Singapore, overlooking the city in all of its grandeur.

Sentosa Merlion is one of the attractions added in Singapore itinerary 3 days and Singapore itinerary 7 days. Must visit this awesome attraction.

  • The biggest Merlion is in Sentosa beside Imbiah Station. If you miss to see Merlion at Mariana Bay, you will definitely get it at Sentosa for free. The surroundings of the Sentosa is very nice to look at. However you need to have one full day to hangover Sentosa. Though the attractions in Sentosa is not free. I recommend to see the Madame Tussauds there.

  • So I was wondering why Singapore liked the Merlion so much. They had two of these creatures in their country. One at the Merlion Park and another right here on Sentosa island. Turns out that it is the guardian of prosperity of Singapore.

  • Amazing place.. clean.. well groomed has lot of restaurants and fun places nearby.. The statue itself is huge and has a ticket based access to the top. Go for agents around little India or China Town, they would be able to give a better deal on the tickets. Off the counter would be expensive.

  • Merlion Park is good place to go in the evening. There are many restaurants to have dinner. We enjoyed our Starbucks coffee in outside. We were lucky that defence forces were practicing for their national day. We enjoyed aerial activities by fighter planes and Singapore flag by helicopters. Weather can be enjoyed here.

  • Guardian of prosperity!!! I❤Sentosa!!! Stunning place with incredible view!!! Literally, I left my soul there!!! Highly, highly recommend for people whose likes to enjoy something really fun in the life!!!
