  • Some of the best street food in Korea. The underground shopping centers are great with unique stalls. I wouldn't come here for clothes if you're under the age of 55 but still very cool authentic traditional Korean open market experience. I got some amazing dehydrated beat chips which kept me full the entire day.

  • Namdaemun market - Lots of options on dresses, food, accessories and cosmetics. Korean special ginseng are Also popularly available here. Variety of prices for the products. Easy access from the subway. After the purchase had a very nice Korean snack. Too Crowded, there is dedicated tourist guide available on the center of the market....

  • Old style/traditional Korea street market consist mostly of hawkers, small shops and pop-up stalls selling low to mid-tiered items. The place is packed during weekend due to influx of tourists. Side streets have a bunch of local restaurants for the uninitiated wanting to try out authentic/local Korean food. Beyond street level, there are a number of mid-size department stores and underground shopping center packed with shops.

  • I've been living in the area just for 45 days and it's crazy beautiful. Some people may find it messy and noisy but it was amazing to me as it helped me not to feel lonely in the huge Seoul. It's opened until late and from early morning you can go and find fresh fruit. The basement is full of nuts, dresses, spices and music shops, people are welcoming and easy to talk to even if you're not fluent in Korean. Plus, there is a lady selling veggies and fruit right after exit4 of the tube who has some of the best Asian Pears in town.

  • This was a fun place to walk through. Lots of clothes and shoes and cookies and ginseng tea. While most stalls have the same thing as all the others, there are some real treasures here and there. We found some great second hand clothes for our kids.
