Namdaemun Market Reviews & Ratings
One of the best places in Seoul to buy souvenirs. Do not buy in the streets, inside they have a lot of good deals but normally they do not want to take credit cards and they will persuade you to have everything in cash. Also there are a lot of camera shops that speak English and if you are good a it, you can get a good deal but be sure you know what you are buying and be ready to have all the cash to buy what you want. Do my go to just one shop, try different ones and you’ll get a good price ;)
In A Nutshell: -Namdaemun Market is arguably the most popular market in Seoul. -You'll find all sorts of food vendors (most usually set up at night) & small restaurants. -You'll also encounter many shopping stalls, which include clothing & other accessories. Overall, you'll have a lot of fun exploring this tightly packed market.
Such a fun place to go. So many people from locals to tourists. We ate lunch here as well as snacking on street food and shopping. There are so many streets and I think we only hit a few and still walked away with a ton of stuff. It is a really great area. I believe we mostly hung out around gate 4 and had a blast. Definitely come here if you get the chance. And make sure to stop for king dumplings from hyojason. Seriously the best dumplings I’ve ever had.
So much yummy street food and plenty of stalls all with lots of different varieties of goods for sale. I visited the market looking for unique and affordable socks and was not disappointed by the variety on offer. Take your suitcase, some good bargains available here!
This is one of the largest traditional outdoor market in the middle of Seoul. Varieties of foods and goods are endless here. Love tasting some quick snacks from street vendors location in central part of the market alley. It still retains its charms from bygone era of shopping from old time. Lots of fun with so many different shops! Don’t miss out on the socks! So many choices! A fun environment!
