Although a bit pricey, the Trick Eye museum promises to be a lot of fun for the whole family. Take whacky photos along with the 2D and 3D images and become a part of an illusionary world that is really just clever placement. Using 'trompe l'oeil' techniques, the museum has created several masterpieces that trick the eye and force visitors to think. The museum encourages interaction and visitors are allowed to touch and feel most exhibits. This is perhaps the most entertaining museum in Seoul.

Trickeye Museum Reviews & Ratings

  • Note that this place is only for taking pictures with different paintings that are painted in a way that can make it look fun. There is no trickery about anything. And since it requires someone to take the picture going alone is a waste of money. Also possible to buy it discounted online just Google it. Ice museum was cool and very cold

  • Quite amusing but sometimes people block the photo angle for excessive time. One couple was here for a full ten minutes with their tripod just looking through their camera settings and not letting others take photos. Other than that it's a fun place to go and take cool pictures. The app is quite fun and interesting as well, ( shows cool added effects)

  • The Trick Eyes Museum is amazing! It was crazy hot and I went there with my husband! Loved the Ice Museum and the Love Museum ( my husband loved it too much 😄😄) It is an indoor place so it was refreshing and I took lots of fun photos! I will go back again!

  • Visited over Chuseok with friends and had a really great time. You can take some really fun AR pictures with the app and it's a really interesting experience. Would definitely return again. You can also visit the ice museum which I would also highly recommend!

  • In A Nutshell: -The Trickeye Museum in Hongdae was slightly challenging to locate, but Google Maps helps pinpoint the right area. -Once you find the location, you'll take an elevator. -There are a couple prices you can pay, one is just to see the Trickeye Museum and the other includes access to the ice museum. -Since you are there, you might as well pay for both. -After you pay, you'll be instructed to download their special app on your phone so that the augmented-reality (AR) comes to life. -Through their app, you'll be able to take photos or videos. -I preferred to take videos since the AR is captured fully. -The downside is that it might take you awhile to get the hang of using the app & by the time you do, the place might get crowded & you'll have people in the background. -The people situation can get bad fast since the spaces are small & you need to have some space to capture all the AR happening. Overall, if you go here, I highly recommend you come as soon as it opens to avoid the crowds so you can get some great photos/videos.
