Rocky River Reservation Reviews & Ratings
There is a LOT to like about RR Reservation. The dog park is actually very big relative to most that you see in a city, 2x-3x larger than others I've seen in Cleveland and the suburbs. Plus, there are plenty of balls to play catch with if you forgot to being one, a water fountain and bowls, and even those hard plastic toddler pools that you can fill up with the spigot at the water fountain, which our black lab mix LOVES in the summer! The other pups and owners tend to be pretty good, too - in my experience you don't run into un-socialized dogs with bad owners here with the same frequency you do at other dog parks. Just a heads up: kids ARE allowed in this dog park, so keep that in mind if your pup(s) is(are) not child-friendly. When it comes to walking through the park, there is one main path with the workout stations sprinkled throughout. The path is paved and has a clear dotted line down the middle so you know to stay on one side when being passed by cyclists, runners, etc. Honestly, the most fun paths to wall on are the unpaved ones through the woods and close to or on the river. The river meets the path at a parking spot under a freeway overpass (which is about 100 yards up), which is the easiest place to access the river. You will often find people wading into it or fishing in it there. The unpaved walking paths are the best place to walk, so keep your eye out for them, and don't be afraid to follow them into the woods! Just be safe and use common hiking sense and you'll probably get to see some deer (they are EVERYWHERE there once you get off the main path and a little bit away from the road). They blend in, though - even our dogs didn't spot them!
We were there visiting for the 1st time, and we absolutely loved it. Everything from the fun activities they plan for their campers, Bingo With Pot Luck, Garage Sale, ect. We had a great time, the campers were friendly and very personable. Looking forward to visiting next year, we are from another state. We were very blessed to meet so many people at such a nice camping site. See you next year.
This place has an awesome nature center. Great for kids and adults! Nice trails. Has always been busy any time we have gone there.
When my children were young we would go to the R R Reservation a couple Sunday's a month. We would cook breakfast, play ball , fish, cook lunch and head back home totally exhausted but with wonderful memories. It was really nice going back there again and seeing the beautiful park and living those special memories once again.
Such a beautiful serene place. Enjoyed taking pics here. Others that were here were doing the same. Very scenic landscape and water. Here more than once and will continue to go there.
