Best cabin rental company we have used. We have used outrageous for the last 11 yrs. Never have we had any problems with super friendly staff. Its always a pleasure doing business with them. Star Crest resort has some amazing views! County pines has a more to yourself kinda feel. Both are a convenient distance from the strip.
These Cabins are exactly what you dream of when you imagine a cabin in the mountains. We stayed in the Wildfire. Big fireplace, hot jacuzzi, modern kitchen and bath. About 10 minutes from a reasonably priced grocery and 20 minutes from skiing.
We just got back from staying at Woodland Hideaway. First impressions were great!! Smooth check in, great location, convenient to everything, the cabin was really clean, up to date & over all beautiful, with outstanding views!! We sat our bags down & heard a chirping upon further inspection realized it was the smoke detector batteries in the loft/bedroom at least 15-20ft up the wall with no way to turn it off. Called the office spoke to Josh to said he was he wasn't sure if the maintenance man was in that day nor was he sure if he was going to be in the following day. That wasn't going to work for us but long story short the maintenance man showed up close to 7pm & switched out the batteries. My only other complaint was the downstairs mattress was very uncomfortable, so much so that I had to slept on the couch. Husband it wasn't as bad in the center as it was along the left/right side if the bed. Other than those 2 issues, the rest was great!! We really enjoyed the cabin. I would rent from Outrageous Cabins again!
From the time we checked in, things only went down hill. We specifically booked ‘Smoky Mountain Dream’ because the website indicated that there were 3 full beds. Since we had 6 adults coming, this was a necessity. Upon arrival, it was immediately apparent that the website misinformed us and that there were only 2 beds, therefore leaving 2 of our guests with nowhere to sleep. After a fairly long argument with the manager, Kayla, where she argued with me and told me that we were wrong in what we read on the website, I finally sent her a screenshot of the webpage that we viewed...where it specifically stated that there were 3 beds. Kayla did acknowledge the mistake and offer us a discount to stay, which we accepted, but 2 of our guests were forced to sleep on a pullout couch for the entire weekend. Speaking of the pullout couch...the first time we pulled it out, a half empty water bottle as well as a dirty sock came out with the mattress. If that doesn’t make you feel like a place is cleaned well, I’m not sure what does. On the last night of our stay, we arrived back to the cabin for the night only to find out that we were locked out. Luckily, the office was still open and a girl came to attempt to unlock it with about 40 different keys, none of which worked. Maintenance was finally called and was able to get us inside of our cabin...after standing in the rain and cold for about 45 minutes. This all happened about 9:30 pm...the office closes at 10 and doesn’t have any sort of emergency number located on the door or website. So we would’ve literally been locked out of our own cabin for the night if we had been a few minutes later. Once inside, we attempted to relax and eat some of our snacks—only to discover that the closed bags had been chewed and opened on the corners by what appeared to be mice. Fast forward to trying to go to sleep upstairs...we were unable to sleep because there was some sort of rodent crawling and scratching in the attic space directly above our heads so loud that we were unable to sleep. If mice/rodents/whatever it was are a big enough issue that they eat the guests food and keep them awake at night, it seems like they would at least be attempting to treat for them somehow. From the first day, this place was a smoky mountain nightmare. I would not recommend anyone to rent this cabin or from this company in the future.
My husband and I recently had our honeymoon at Outageous Cabins, we stayed in the cabin called "Animal House". Let me start off by saying wow! The cabin itself was absolutely stunning! We had such a beautiful view off the back deck. Even with some rain a few days we were there the cabin has enough to do inside to keep you busy. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything you need. Although the cabins seem close, you still have all the privacy you need. We did not even notice our neighbors while we were there. I definitely recommend!!
