Containing some of Seville’s best Baroque sculptures, this hospital was built in 1674 and still runs it’s geriatric operations. The hospital’s chapel is open to the public. Most of the surfaces in the chapel are covered in paintings by Murillo and Valdes Leal. As with any place in Seville, the tile work is admirable, and the fountains are eloquent. You could spend hours strolling through the place.

One of the most interesting places to visit in Seville. The art work is superb, the information on offer is brilliant and the actual history of the hospital is inspiring. Could easily spend an hour in the Chapel alone listening to the descriptions of the paintings and looking around. Must visit for any historian and /or art lover
Not worth €8, small church, a few paintings, probably worth 20mn
Church on the small side, but still worth a visit. cost 4.00 euros
I wasn’t able to go in, but it was very beautiful from the outside, and it surely is even better in the inside!
Take the €6 ticket with Audioguide which tells you the story behind every painting! If you enjoy reading up on paintings as I do, you would absolutely love Hospital Caridad as I did. Spent 2 hours here!
