This is what food courts everywhere should be. But before you start indulging your stomach take a moment to appreciate the architecture of this historic building, a lovely structure of iron and glass. It was designed by French engineer Gustave Eiffel as Seville’s fish market. But once you head inside, the best way to describe this place is a cornucopia. It has over 1,200 square metres worth of food stalls that sell everything from cakes, fried fish, tapas, ice cream, pizza, meats, and wine and cocktails. Non-edible stuff on sale here include flowers, books, oils and other merchandise. If this was all the market has to offer it would be a success. but additionally it is also a place for music, Theatre, photography, workshops and cooking and other cultural events.

  • Bus 43 stop San Jorge (Altozano).
  • Bus 40, 41, 43, C5 stop Reyes Catolicos (Pastor y Landero).
  • Tram T1 stop Plaza Nueva.
  • Subway L1 stop Puerta de Jerez.

  • This place is reliable, and adequate. The food is ok and the wine is drinkable but it lacks any soul. There is a lower terrace bar but it was hard to find anyone to serve you readily. Not a bad backup if all else fails. It does have very nice toilets.

  • What a joke! Food in this place is under average, nothing special, no flavours at all. Service is awful. Not enough seat and no atmosphere. Why would I have to pay over price for that?! I can get better food with better service in a lovely seating down restaurant for the same or less money. This market should be shutdown. All you get are bad food, bad service, uncomfortable eating and ridiculous price. Stay away. Stay away. Stay away!

  • Great for a snack or to get something to eat, different options for different palates, nice environment and well organized.

  • Paid 4 euros for a small hotdog like and it was still cold in the middle. Overprised food. The place only looks good. That's why I walked here. What a shame.

  • highly disappointing. this is where looks can only take you so far. food was so so & pricey. you can get better quality & taste somewhere else. plus there weren’t nearly as many food choices as Triana or Arenal.
