You will want to enter and explore this magnificent Baroque Palace as soon as you see its beautiful red facade, ornately decorated portal and white pilasters, but unfortunately it is closed to the public. You can only get in by specialized guided tours so you should seek a provider. The first such palace built on this location was in the thirteenth century. The majority of its current looks come from the 16th century and its interior was also greatly renovated in the 17th century. It has a lovely collection of paintings and sculptures, a mural of the 5 apostles, a  grand 17th century staircase, two courtyards built in Mannerist style between the 17th and 18th centuries, a sixteenth-century fountain, and a Great Library.
