This 1924 bridge does not cross a river. It was originally built to improve access to the  San Bernardo neighborhood, which at that time was constricted by a railroad. This bridge used to cross over the trains. However, after the railroad became defunct and the tracks were removed, the bridge persisted. Remodelled in 1992, it is a structure of reinforced concrete, and quite charming to look at. The architectural aesthetic of the bridge is neo-Baroque. The pictures of the surrounding city from the bridge’s pedestrian sidewalks can be breathtaking, especially at sunrise or sunset.
