  • Not bad. Much better than the rip off red taxi were were subjected to when we left Shanghai. But the bullet trains out to Suzhou are more exciting and the trip is longer.

  • If your comfortable taking public transportation the Maglev is the way to go to get to Shanghai. With speeds up to 250 miles per hour this is a unique ride. It is the more expensive public transportation option to get to Shanghai. You can also take the regular subway which is quick and efficient. Here are a few tips: You must buy a separate ticket for the Maglev at the ticket window. They only take cash. Credit card and Alipay or WeChat wallet are not accepted. You will find an ATM near the Terminal gate (opposite end of Maglev). I personally would buy a one way ticket as you might choose to take a taxi back or the regular subway. Follow the crowd to board. The Maglev only has one line. Seats are comfortable and inside you can see the speed your traveling. Before you get on the Maglev you will see bathrooms, a few food stores, a Starbucks, and other restaurants. You will have to transfer to get further into Shanghai. This requires a separate metro ticket. You do also have the option of exiting the station and taking a taxi.

  • As you arrive, you will get Taxi offers - just walk away. Look for the Taxi line. Downstairs there are food places including McDonald's; I recommend 85C for snacks and coffee. Subway connections- to one side -walk across, and other side -you need to take the escalator down. Buy Maglev tickets at arrival. Give your bags for security check- its fast. Of Coz- you know the rest.

  • Fun ride and well worth the price for both the speed and the experience itself. Highly recommend taking it from the Pudong airport to the Longyang station before transferring to the subway system (also inexpensive) to get around the city. But beware! This is not the correct location on the map! The right location is over by Century Park. My friend and I wasted a lot of time because we thought the train took us to this location, and it did not. This is the correct location of the Maglev Longyang Road Station: 2100 Longyang Rd, Pudong Xinqu, Shanghai Shi, China, 201203
