Central Souq - Review
Housed inside an architecturally marvellous structure (it is one of the most photographed buildings in Sharjah), the Blue Souk is where you should head over to if you want to shop till you drop! Home to over 600 shops, the souk is embellished in blue tiling thus giving it the name. Also known as Central Market, the souk has traders selling items such as electrical goods, traditional as well as antique jewellery, kitchen utensils, gold, famous UAE gems, perfumes, souvenirs and even Arabic carpets.
Trivia: The impressive building was designed by British architects Michael Lyle & Partners. The Ruler of Sharjah, HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi gave his inputs during the designing stage.

Central Souq, Sharjah Reviews
It's a typical Souq where u find what is special about the use and gulf products like traditional clothes and jewelry and many Arabic products like perfume Antique souvenir and lot of other items. In brief if you bored from malls and seeing the same shops and same international brands then it's time to go Souq for completely different experience.... This is where tourist should go
One of the popular public markets in Sharjah city, it used to be called Islamic Souq for the design of it. Usually it's garment and fabric Souq in one side and the other side is gold and silver shops. Bargain is your best way to get the exact price of the items, if you are tourist here make sure you take someone from the city here or do your research.
Mind boggling jewelry. lines of shops selling ornaments all in one lane. Display of jewels you will keep staring wanting to buy all. Excellent variety and yes with the guaranty of original gold at good rates. Prices are high but there is an opportunity to bargain, the trick is, show interest and then walk away at the final bargaining price and there is an 80% chance the price will come down further.
Very good. Nice local shopping experience. One of the best place in Sharjah, UAE to buy carpets, gemstone jewellery, antique coins, textiles, traditional clothing etc. There are a some restaurants with multilingual menus. Overall this is a very souk in the Sharjah city.
Very small mosques and narrow path on level 1. No path for crawlers in the connected bridge inside the souq. Gold market is good. One stop to buy gold...
