Beadlow Manor Golf & Country Club Reviews & Ratings
One of the most overpriced and run down courses I've ever seen. The greens are awful, dry, lumpy and have many bald patches. The fairways are barely distinguishable from the rough in places because the grass is too long. At £30 for a round the course is a joke. Staff in the clubhouse seemed lovely and the beer i had was fine. It's a shame the course is so poorly kept as with a little love it could be class.
Run down facilities poor but building work going on so might improve
The two full 18 hole courses at Beadlow Manor provide something for golfers of all abilities. The Baron course is particularly challenging with the undoubted potential (with a little TLC) to be one of the best in the county. This course also has some spectacular views across the Bedfordshire countryside. The Baroness course is less undulating and shorter in distance but also provides a good test for the average golfer with a nice mix of holes. All in all 36 holes providing good value for money golf.
Could be a really nice course but condition was terrible. Greens were rock hard, very little grass, patchy and uneven. Some of the worst I have ever seen. And this is in April. By the end of summer they will be far worse. The greens have no depth or foundation.Tear them up and start again. Around the green the grass was far too long. You could hit a perfect shot to the green but the greens would not hold and then you would be in 4 inches of uncut grass just off the green. Hopeless. We got 2 for 1 vouchers so cant complain but if I was paying the full price of £25 I would not be happy. I will not return.
We played the Barroness course as the Baron is closed. Nice course but the greens were atrocious everyone was in terrible condition and the tees were not much better. Spoilt a lovely looking course.
