The Reaper Haunted House Reviews & Ratings
Went with my mother and my wife. We paid $17 a ticket. We waited 45 minutes and had moved maybe 5 ft when we saw other people going in before us and were told we could upgrade for $5 more dollars per person to get in faster. We were very upset as we’d already paid $52 total and waited an hour. They had a no refund policy. We’d be waiting 1.5 more hours minimum if we didn’t pay the upgrade fee. When we questioned why no one had told us there was a VIP option to begin with, and why it wasn’t displayed anywhere, the ticket lady said it was “on the website.” It was not and we told her that. She proceeded to be very rude and told us we could “pay the $5 or leave.” She then called over another worker and told him she wanted us escorted off the property and that we were drunk and cussing at her, none of which was true. We ended up paying the extra $5 only to be highly disappointed by a 5 minute walk through. Extremely rude staff. DO NOT GO.
First of all, DISCLAIMER: There are strobe lights that can cause seizures, a step up that you can easily trip on in the pitch black, and there are parts where it could be dangerous for people with claustrophobia. Also, there are no signs to show, but if you decide to back out or decide not to wait over an hour (which wouldn’t be surprising), there are no refunds. With this, admission is neither $15 plus tax nor $16 plus tax, it is $17. I was behind the group of 3 who the owner is claiming to have been intoxicated, and I 100% disagree with the owners statement. To paint a picture, my family and I, (also a group of 3) walk up to the haunted house where there is a line looping around the entire lot. We had a conversation with the said “intoxicated woman,” where we completely agreed with everything she had said before going up to the admission booth to speak her mind. We had already been waiting with them for 30 minutes without the line moving. Then all of a sudden, a group of 6 people with beer bottles in their hands walk up to a separate UNLABELED door. The first 3 of this group go in with 2, yes TWO, people from the longer line. To everyone around us, this was very confusing. Why? Because none of us knew of the VIP option. Yes, there it is mentioned on their website, but it’s not even a link, it just says “VIP rates available.” There are no signs for this walking up either, nor is there a set price anywhere in person or on the website. Going back, the woman was outraged by this, justifiably, as we followed closely behind her from the admission booth, in case we had to speak our mind, too. This woman never showed signs of being inebriated nor overly hostile. She was a patron of this institute who was only confused a shorter line clearing up before the line of people who had been waiting for HOURS. Then followed the woman to tell the cop, WHO AGREED THEY SHOULD HAVE A VIP SIGN somewhere in their establishment, to not say but yell that she was intoxicated. I agree that the $17 plus $5 for VIP is not worth the 5 minute walkthrough.
The best haunted house I’ve been to, don’t be a chicken do it.
Love scary places.
It's always been great but not this year. This year it wasn't near as scary as years before and it seemed much shorter than usual. They always have a great haunted house and we go every year but we were very disappointed this year. The one thing I was VERY disappointed in was they touched and grabbed people this year a lot. One of the girls grabbed my 13 yr old daughter then wrapped her arm around her chest and blew in her ear. It honestly was very gay looking and I told her that was just a little much. All 6 of us were very disappointed. It use to be a favorite. Unless they change the no touching we won't be back anymore. We went last night at 11 PM and the line was long.
