D47食堂, Shibuya Reviews
- Food is good, Service very much depends on Staff - I have been here several times and I have a mixed experience. Some staff are very friendly, smiling and helpful explaining each food. Other times, didn't come for menu/water, even though asking several times. Overall, it's very nice place with good view. I hope there are all friendly staff so everyone who comes here will have a pleasant time.
Food from all around the country. Great views of the madness that is Shibuya (and its never ending construction)
What a delicious way to explore what Japan has to offer. The food was fantastic, and the sake too. The view of Shibuya Crossing was an added bonus. A great spot to unwind and finish the day at. Highly recommend.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME I tried to go to this restaurant last night with my family but as 4 foreigners the front-of-house staff made every excuse to turn us away. It was 9:45pm and first she said they were closed, and I pointed out the sign right behind her which said they close at 22:30. She then said there are no tables, but another member of staff in earshot told her there were tables free. She still didn't lead us to a seat. I asked if there was an English menu and she said no, I expect that was a lie too. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else!
Definitely a way to sample more authentic modern japanese from each region, though it may not suit all western tastes, the dishes were fresh, a little small and 6 dishes was not enough for 3 people, worth a go if adventorous, will have a great view when construction is finished
