As the name suggests, this temple is dedicated to one of the Hindu saints named Sidh Baba. His shrine is located on the top of the hill which renders it an immense natural charm. There is an interesting story that is associated with this temple. Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala decided to build a palace atop the hill in Chail. However, one night in his dream he saw the saint Sidh baba instructing him not to use the area for the construction of the palace but to use it instead as his meditative hill. So the king ordered a temple to be constructed here. Set against the backdrop of magnificent hills, this temple looks charming and definitely deserves a visit while you are on your trip to Shimla.
