The Viceregal Lodge also known as Rashtrapati Niwas is one of the most architecturally impressive and historically significant buildings in the area. The Lodge was the residence of the Indian Viceroy during summers who governed the entire Indian subcontinent between 1888 and 1946. For visitors, the Viceregal Lodge is an extensive Mock-Tudor stately home which is surrounded by absolutely beautiful, and immaculately maintained gardens. Today, only a few of the rooms of the Lodge can be toured as the structure has been made a University complex. By visiting the Viceregal Lodge, you would be able to admire the architectural brilliance of the structure and get an insight as to how the Viceroy lived back in those times.
