  • The arboretum is a special place for learning, exploring and appreciating nature. There are great programs for children including summer camp and many other activities throughout the year. The building itself is a lovely old example of the cottage design nestled in the woods. This is such a wonderful place for a nature getaway in the middle of town. They constantly have programs for kids, families, schools, scouts, birthday parties, summer camps, etc. And they also have lovely self-guided tours. The center is small and has a few animals, but my kids gravitate toward them every time.

  • Good place for an easy birthday party or a 20 minute visit. A little boring otherwise. Some animals inside and trails but no different than any other local trails.

  • Such a beautiful, peaceful location. Numerous towering trees. Various species of birds. Plenty of benches for sitting and relaxing. It's a getaway, close to home, worth the trip.

  • Smaller than we expected but free and cute. They have summer programs for kids!

  • Wonderful and knowledgeable staff. Plenty of hiking trails and charming events throughout the year. Perfect place for families or any nature lovers.
