Commonly called the ‘Smoky Mary’s’ because of the incense sticks that are continuously burning, the Church of St Mary the Virgin is an Episcopal Catholic church in Manhattan. It is located in the busy street in the middle of Times Square. It was built in the 19th century and is heavily influenced by Gothic style of architecture. It is a beautiful ornate church decorated with spectacular murals. The church has a wonderful choir and tourists gather to hear them sing. Mass is held here regularly and the clergy is friendly. They welcome tourists from all over the world throughout the year.

Very interesting church. Great stain glass windows. With the benefit of a lovely little cafe. A must for a visit. Would be a shame to miss this little gem
Stunningly beautiful Church, with a Cafè that serves fantastic food lovely meals delightful cakes and great tasting coffee at sensible prices. When visiting Shrewsbury it is the place for me to eat. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed!
St Mary's Church is a redundant Anglican church in St Mary's Place, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust, the Trust designated St Mary's as its first Conservation Church in 2015. It is the largest church in Shrewsbury. Clifton-Taylor includes the church in his list of 'best' English parish churches.
Absolutely superb venue for the beer festival. Such a fantastic building and great to see it used for the enjoyment of so many and not neglected.
