Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world. It is a Buddhist temple built in the early 12th century. It is the prime attraction of Cambodia, also having its place on the country’s national flag. What is particularly popular about the temple is its grand yet intricate Khmer architecture. The main towers are shaped like lotus buds. Carved upon the walls of the temple are narrative scenes that tell mythological tales. These sandstone walls stand well preserved and even majestically so, after all this time. The campus is enormous. The temples are aplenty and each building has a different story to tell. When inside the complex, you’d feel like you have travelled back in time. Do not forget to witness the sunrise and the sunset. It’d complete your journey to the spiritual destination.

Angkor Wat Reviews & Ratings
A massive temple complex as wonderous as the great basilicas, but fundamentally Asian in its facades and sculptures, and truly ancient. The site is visited by thousands of tourists each day, but is more accessible in the monsoon season, if you're game enough to risk some poor weather. The unofficial guides are a plenty, but they're really not necessary if you've done a little research ahead of time.
Amazing. Huge! Hot (come prepared with water and a hat). Lots of walking but well worth it. Tour was fantastic. Sunrise was magical. Then ran the half-marathon and got to see it a second time. Definitely coming back!
A dream come true for me. The incredible ancient structure amazes and doesn't disappoint. Even with the huge number of visitors, the structure rises above them all as a spectacular reminder of the powerful Khmer Empire of old. It could have been 5 stars if not for the many visitors.
Amazing! Gorgeous! Wonder! It's so big that one day may not be enough! It's worth visiting it! No word I can describe my feeling because it's so fantastic; I will be there again! U may visit Angkor Wat so that you can feel it. Be aware of not wearing shorts!
Go. Just go. See the sunrise. Experience the majesty. Be taken back in time. Connect spiritually and really drink in the history and awe of this wonder. Get a knowledgeable guide. It makes a huge difference.
