About Ta Prohm, Siem Reap
The Ta Prohm temple is one of the most important heritage sites in Cambodia. The temple is built in the Bayon style, minimalistic but intricate. Unlike other temples in Angkor, which have gone through some amount of recreation, this place has mostly been left as it was found. As opposed to many other khmer style temples, this one is flat in its design. Surrounding the temple is a jungle. This gives a very adventurous feel to all who visit this place. For those interested in History, this is an apt place to visit. For those seeking spirituality and calm, same!

Very nice place, but crowdy. Even though it's totally worth visiting, as it's filled with routes where one can easily get lost and sometimes find a place where there's nobody at the moment, so can enjoy the place or take breathtaking pictures. Recommend getting a guide, because the history behind this temple is also very exciting.
Quite amazing temple, you walk 500 meters in the jungle to get there, then it's a mix of ruins and nature. The tree from tomb raider is definitely not the best or impressive one comparing to the others. Please don't keep the others as they are much nicer. Quick to visit, maximum one hour if you really take your time.
A mind blowing place, a must in your trip in Cambodia. This is the famous temple from the Angelina Jolie movie "Tomb Raider". 1. If you wanna know about the stories and history, definitely hire a tuk-tuk driver guide. We decided to rent scooters and do everything ourselves, in our own time and rhythm. We downloaded some info about the temples and managed quite well! 2. Its super hot. Bring or buy enough water. 3. Guys need to wear shorts that reach the knee and also a Trip shirt, so wear a tank top because it's hot but have a T-shirt ready for the places where it is needed.Girls need something to cover their upper body as well as something long for the legs.
Ta Prohm is the modern name of the temple originally called Rajavihara. It was built as a monastery and university as well. The trees embracing its ruins make it a well known image. It is always crowded and taking photos without people walking around, is rather difficult. Many parts of the complex are in darkness and the danger of falling down is much greater than in other sites of the greater area. One of the UNESCO’s places in the World Heritage List since 1992, is probably the most atmospheric archaeological site of Cambodia.
Beautiful and great temple. There's still the original place , cover with huge tree root. So amazing and worthy to visit.
