Oregon Garden Reviews & Ratings
Very nice weekend and we will definitely return: Food: We didn't eat in the restaurant but had happy hour in the lounge and it was nice. Breakfast was very good, everything fresh. Good coffee. The room: Nice, not luxurious but quite comfortable and very quiet. Bed not the best and bring you own pillows. The room was clean and quiet. The garden: outstanding. Everything maintained well, pleasing to the eye and even the ear. Well worth the time and price of admission. Having it included with the room added value. Tour tram: Wild Bill was our driver and we really liked him, he was very pleasant and informative, he made it a real treat. The tram tour gave a wonderful overview of the garden that made us want to explore. All in all a great experience we would recommend highly.
Fantastic! A grand yet delightfully charming respite. I can tell so much love and care went into this place. A great variety of well-tended flowers of plants. Educational and play space. Weekend tram and cafe(s). Even a tucked-away lodge..? I wish Seattle had this beauty.
Okay... don't be in a hurry when you visit. The tram runs Friday, Sat, Sunday only. Now, for the good stuff: If you are someone who prefers huge impactful landscaping ideas, go while the annuals are still in bloom April-June. However, there are many unexpected and breathtaking features here, such as the 400 year old Oak tree, limbs long, strong and reaching out to you like a storybook Grandpa. The conifer garden, reflection pond and DOG GARDEN. Yes... well behaved, good humans can bring their dogs! Try not to let them disturb the chickens, though! Don't make the mistake of comparing this to any other show gardens...just enjoy. If you can go mid-week, and earlier in the day, even better. Oh...I overheard several good reviews about the lodge and it's restaurant, too. (Bathrooms are easy to find and we'll kept.)
Awesome gardens. Wonderful variety. Loved all the different types of gardens. All is kept up beautifully. Wear good walking shoes as this place covers many acres. We visited in the early summer and the lilies were nice. Would like to visit in various seasons, definitely will return.
The Oregon Garden is an excellent place to find inspiration for any home gardener. I love the different kinds of gardens and the wife variety of plants and trees. I also appreciate the small shuttle for those days when walking can be tough.
