Gorgeous little markets in the centre of Lille. Well worth seeing it. There is everything from craft shops to amazing food and drinks. Santa is there and also some rides. Very reasonable prices compared to Paris Christmas markets where everything is double the price.
Beautiful old City, nice day trip visit, plentiful of Renaissance style building if you are into classical architecture. During Christmas seasons is great too
Beautiful square just right in the middle of picturesque Lille, easily accessible from the train station, and good starting point for shopping!
Beautiful old architecture reminiscent of, but not as extensive as, Ghent and Bruges but without the canals. Plentiful good restaurants and bars. Worth a day trip certainly.
The Vieille Bourse (Old stock exchange), built from 1652 to 1653, is undoubtly the town's finest building. This building is made up of 24 little houses around an arched courtyard. A second-hand book market as well as chess players can be seen inside. In summer, tango demonstration.
