Hot Tomato Café & Grill, Singapore Reviews
First time visiting this shop. Among the dishes we ordered is a beef dish that is supposed to be cooked medium well. However, over half of the meat are over cooked and dry. Only the small section in the middle are cooked. When we give feedback to the manager, we are told that their standard only apply to the middle of the meat. We find the excuse to be unbelievable. This seems to suggest a lack of focus on quality. I am unlikely to return to this shop despite the low price.
Really value for money, especially the steaks. Food quality is good and overall ambience is cozy.
I ordered medium steak and they did not even cook it properly. The center of the steak was partially raw and one part of the steak was totally raw.It is also inconsistent sometimes ok sometimes bad
Vey good choices and very reasonable pricing. Friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.
Value for money steaks and western food. A ribeye and some aglio olio was abt $14, and a steak and prawn abt $13. The prawns were surprisingly well done, the aroma from the prawns was overpowering and were the first to hit our noses amongst all the dishes. And the prawns were baked well, with a little charred outer layer when you bite into the flesh. I love the charred smell of the prawns. The steaks were average, they weren't wonderful but not bad either. They lacked a natural sweetness in the beef, but I can't really expect it for the price. Doneness was confusing, the steak we ordered to be medium came out more rare than the one we ordered to be medium rare. Regardless, neither were tough or chewy or grossly undercooked so i can overlook it due to its price. I would be back to try more seafood items, the seafood combo of salmon, dory and shrimp looks tempting! Or maybe more beef if I just feel like having a steak.
