Merlion, Singapore Reviews - Write a Review
The prime icon of Singapore. It was a long walk from the train station but was a nice one. I honestly thought it was huge in person, but was actually kinda small. A lot of tourists flood the area and is difficult to take that perfect picture without anyone behind you. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the moment. With Marina Bay Sands as your backdrop, it was one great experience.
Merlion park in Singapore is very nice. It is basically a big lion statue with water coming out of its mouth. Many people go their such as tourists. The reason why i gave it 4 stars is because people were EVERYWHERE! Its very hard to take a picture without being interrupted. Its also very hot if you go there in the afternoon as there is no shelter.
It is quite a walk to the merlion, so I would advise against going in the heat of the day. However, it is really cool to just stand and admire it. You can't touch it, obviously, but there are cool sculptures on the way there, including a giant baby bird that was fun. You can sit and watch the world go by from here.
Iconic Statue of Singapore. The vibe is so chilling and refreshing at lean hours. Other times you won't even get personal space for clicking photos.
Perhaps the most significant landmark of Singapore, a must see attraction. The dock around it is a great location to capture the panorama of Marina Bay and the Bay Sands Hotel, especially at night. The adjacent historic district is also worth visiting
