National Orchid Garden, Singapore Reviews
Lovely. Place to visit take your time and enjoy it. It's always hot here drink plenty of water. Well worth a visit the whole family enjoyed it the kids aged 15 and 11. So if you are in Singapore this is worth going to.
ZERO star if it's possible. Be careful when you want to buy souvenirs from the gift shop that's right next to the garden entrance/exit. I saw a paper weight that I wanted. The store clerk suggested that I buy another one. I did not like the one she suggested and insisted that I would buy the one I wanted. She said ok and wrapped out the paper weight. When I got home after the trip, the one she wrapped up was the one she suggested instead of the one I wanted. Why would she swap the two? Don't know but very dishonest practice. BEWARE!!!
A really great place, that I won't miss on a singapore trip! They take a lot of care of the garden and you have a lot of opportunities to see many different orchids. As I remember, the entrance to the garden area is for free, you only pay a few dollars for the entrance of the special orchid garden (bring your student card, if you have one!). Be sure to bring some water with you, it's quite hot and humid there. It's quite calm there, so you can escape the busy city life.
This park is perfect for family get together/bonding and recreation. It hosts a large area of green field and some marshes. You can spot some resident species there like squirrels, birds, butterfly, monitor lizard, and some domestic animals such as cats. The place has been kept in pristine condition by the tenants. The plants in the area were well preserved and maintained. By far the park is the cleanest one ive visited. Hopefully those visitors who pass by there will keep it that ways.
The collection of orchids in this park is magnificent. The landscape is great and one can enjoy everything in it with so much joy and awe. I love visiting it again..and again for sure:).
