- Istana: This Indian-Malay building used to be the Government House of the Colony of Singapore and is now the official residence of The President. The grounds are on some of Singapore’s best real estate and even has a 9 hole golf course. It is only open to the public five days a year: Deepavali, Hari Raua Puasa, Labour Day, National Day and Chinese New Year.
