Adriga has been certified as a ‘Blue Flag’ beach, meeting the highest quality of water, safety, environment and visitor services. It was also voted one of the best 20 European beaches in 2003 by the British newspaper, Sunday Times.  It is a very popular destination during summer but you won’t have to struggle to find a place to spread your beach towel, unlike other Sintra beaches. Visitors should walk over to the rocky cliffs towards the left of the beach which is a popular spot for fishermen.

‘Adraga has excellent options for food and drinks and is well equipped to provide comfort and safety to its visitors. Try to catch the sunset at the beach, it’s a splendid sight!

• It is difficult to reach this beach by public transport.

• By Bus: Almocegem - 403 from the Sintra Train Station.
• Bus no 403 goes to Adraga once every hour. From the Almocegem stop, the beach is a 30 minute walk.
