Lac Souterrain St-leonard, Sion Reviews - Write a Review
The lake itself is wonderful, really breathtaking scenery, well lit, a very pleasant half an hour trip. The guides themselves however are nothing to sing and dance about. Despite being perfectly capable of speaking 'up to 7 languages' as advertised on their website, our boatman decided he could only be bothered to cater for the French and German speakers there, leaving us with a laminated sheet to read with, which, to be frankly honest, is very uninformative. As apposed to any actual geological or historical explanation of anything in the cave we were simply told information like "This rock looks like King Kong" (which by the way it doesn't.) The cafe attached is actually surprisingly good value, about 3.50 for coffees which is fairly standard over here. All in all, I'd go for the experience, it's a lovely atmosphere and very pretty but if you're looking for an informative tour, I'd give it a miss. 5/5 Aesthetics 1/5 Tour
The tour isn't the longest but interesting and something different to see in the local area. The guide was good although difficult to hear at times due to noisier passengers. There was no issue with him speaking French, German and English.
Nice place. Good to find something different to do in the area. Boat ride not so long but very enjoyable.
Very nice place Worth the visit We liked the boat ride but unfortunately the guide person spoke only French and gave us an information paper written in English
Good place for kids, because to small underground...but, if you near this place, you can visit it
