The house, which is converted into a museum and dedicated to the writer, has become a significant landmark in town. The house was built in the late eighteenth century and is an example of traditional architectural style. Writer of The Gypsy Girl, The Emigrant, The Merchants of Nations, and The Murderess, spent the last moments of his life here.
