Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario is a railway museum which occupies an area of 10.5 acres. It was established in 1912 by Canadian Northern Ontario Railway. In 1983, it was designated as the National Historic Site of Canada. Earlier the museum was known as Smiths Falls Railway Museum. The prime aim of this museum is to preserve the collections of 1913 CNoR station and to promote them to the visitors. Here you can find about 10,000 artefacts, library and archival materials including numerous historical equipment, rolling stocks and railway memorabilia. The Dental Car of North America, steam locomotive “1112” and CN snowplow “55400” are the main highlights of Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario.
