Vatnasafn, Snæfellsbær Reviews

  • We went a couple of years ago, but a friend is traveling Iceland so I am including this in my recommendations to him because it had such a powerful effect on me. The displays of the waters is quite memorable and the views are great too.

  • The tickets are well worth it for the wonderful work of art. They are just a code which enables you to spend time in the building. There is also lots of information in a side room, which helps explain the process and project. Really glad we went!

  • Really neat museum. It's self guided (you get a code from the volcano museum. We went during the off season so we had the place to ourselves. The town is really neat too!

  • Not really my taste as museums go did not really understand the appeal unless you aim for taking a seat with someone and go for a peacful chessgame

  • Take the stairs on the east side to reach this on for and buy tickets at the volcano museum before climbing the stairs. We went there via the west side and did not have tickets so we only saw this from the outside through the windows. It looks like just a couple of water columns, which may be diverting for a very short while. Nice house though and nice views over the harbor
