Palace Of Justice, Sofia Reviews
One of Sofia's key spots, it's a meeting point not only for the locals but for many foreigners (especially groups who are willing to join a local guide) as well. The building itself is very beautiful and splendidly solid. From there you can lose yourself in Sofia's centre and rest assured, you won't regret. Plus, you won't stay hungry nor thirsty.
Palace of Justice, being among the most remarkable buildings downtown in the city of Sofia, is situated in the beginning of the pivotal boulevard named “Vitosha”. ... Untill the establishment of the modern capital center, the Palace of Justice remains the biggest national civil architectural monument of well preserved grandeur and unchanged initial purpose. Following the continuous construction between 1929 and 1940, the Palace of Justice in Sofia meets the immediate need of placing under one roof all courts of the capital city which have been previously scattered in private and unsuitable buildings and thus now is true temple of justice in Bulgaria.
Nice starting point for city tour.
Intimidating architecture that should evoke awe by portraying the power of the law. Instead it's a symbol of bureaucracy and the corruption that has paralyzed our Judiciary. Fun fact, one of the lions at the front is wrong. Can you guess which one and why?
Our guide was super profesional and anthusiastic. Showed is new places in Sofia we didn'r know about!
