This is one of Sonoma’s youngest vineyard. The production techniques here are have been borrowed from those at Bordeaux and Burgundy in France. This winery ages their wines in French oaks, with due respect to the techniques that have been practiced for hundreds of years. When here, do not forget to try out the Zinfandel brews. Originally from Croatia, the Zinfandel grape was brought into California in 1852. It went on to become California’s most widely planted variety and most of the wines produced here are made from a type of Zinfandel. The berries are larger and are thickly clustered. Ravenswood Winery specialises in blends made from this grape and matured in the French way. There are daily tastings as well as tours and barrel tastings. The winery pairs their blends with their Artisan Cheese selection or the Charcuterie plate to complement their produce.

Ravenswood Winery Reviews & Ratings
A great run. Thank you so much. Was nice to stop by. All the best to the staff.
The $25 tasting was over as fast as they could do it. 1 ounce, one sentence...next! no discussion, and nothing to cleanse the palette so everything tasted the same. A clever way to make you pay $25 for 6 ounces of so-so wine. And here is the kicker: the casual "would you like to top that of with a little muscato?" Is a cunning $25 upsell. Ew.
Friendly servers and good wine. After a tasting we bought a bottle to share and enjoyed the view from an outside table. We would have been happy getting another bottle and spending more time there if we didn't have other places to get to.
There were senior wine experts serving the samples. They were extremely polite, informative and helpful persons. Wines were excellent. A must go place for tourists visiting California
Something happened here, the Ravenswood logos have been ripped off all the signs, and there's a paper that says closed. They're also not answering their phones. What happened to Ravenswood????
