One of the most attractive buildings in the Main square of Sopron, this historic house has fascinating stories of the residents that lived here and also presents a remarkable architecture.

Richly decorated bay windows, arched doorways with Tuscan half pillars and door knockers with pelican motives remind of the distinct architectural style. The building also houses Sopron’s first Pharmacy: The black elephant in the 15th century.

The Storno family were the last owners of the house and were ardent collectors of antique. The first floor hosts the local history exhibition and the second floor is dedicated to the Storno family’s art and furniture collection.

The Storno collection and the Boundless story- which is the exhibition of local history are worth visiting to get a glimpse of the glorious history of Sopron.
