Located to the east of the city center, this museum is well worth a visit whether you are a clock collector, an archaeological egghead or into embroidery. In addition to the rich assortment of 17th-century to 19th-century Neapolitan Art and Crafts, there are Japanese, Chinese and European ceramics, Clocks, Furniture and, on the ground floor, Greek and Roman artifacts.

The bulk of the collection, along with the 18th-century villa home, was donated to the city in the 1920s by aristocratic counts Alfredo and Pompeo Correale. Do wander around the gardens with their breathtaking coastal views and rare plants and flowers.

* The facts given above are based on traveler data on TripHobo and might vary from the actual figures
  • A varied collection of objects collated by a local finally with a long heritage. Whilst some objects are very beautiful and unique the description of each is limited and therefore your are left hurrying from one room to the next and feel you could get more from the visit. Nice view of Vesuvius from the top floor.

  • We actually came here to watch The Three Tenors, but were pleasantly surprised by the surroundings and the museum itself! They fit so much into here and its great to look around too.

  • Fabulous collection of ceramics and set in a lush garden, splendid view of bay from top floor.

  • Lots of interesting historical items from Sorrento's past.

  • A performance by Three Tenors in one of the salons here was excellent.
