Located to the east of the city center, this museum is well worth a visit whether you are a clock collector, an archaeological egghead or into embroidery. In addition to the rich assortment of 17th-century to 19th-century Neapolitan Art and Crafts, there are Japanese, Chinese and European ceramics, Clocks, Furniture and, on the ground floor, Greek and Roman artifacts.

The bulk of the collection, along with the 18th-century villa home, was donated to the city in the 1920s by aristocratic counts Alfredo and Pompeo Correale. Do wander around the gardens with their breathtaking coastal views and rare plants and flowers.

  • Beautiful exhibits detailing the vivid history of the region. For 8 Euros a person, this museum is a must if you're visiting Sorrento. Top it off with a leisurely stroll through their gorgeous garden - you will not regret it!

  • Lovely mansion now with select but intercollection. Great views, lovely garden. Labelling of exhibits is spotty, especially in English but well worth an hour or so

  • Lovely place to look around giving you lots of history of sorrento and surrounding areas

  • A lovely museum tucked away well worth the walk. Great views crammed full of treasures.

  • Attended a wedding there. Well organised and lovely venue. Don;t know what it was like as a museum as opposed to a wedding venue though.
