South Mountain Golf Course Reviews & Ratings
Course is in great shape and very reasonable twilight rates. Not too hard of a course if you play from the right tee boxes. Golf shop staff is always friendly. Great place for a round of golf with beautiful views of the valley.
A pretty course with views of the Salt Lake Valley on almost every hole. The course is usually kept up pretty well. What’s not fun about this course is that it seems like no matter where you place the ball, your next shot is never a good lie. Hit a great tee shot into the fairway, your next shot is a foot below or above your feet. Can be very frustrating and mentally tough to score consistently here. I would recommend playing it at least once. (10 hdcp)
The course has hands down the best practice facility on the wasatch front. The day we played July 14, 2019 the course was in great shape even with a string of 100 degree days the week before. Very challenging track and you’ll have a lot more fun with tee shots in play. I would suggest playing a tee forward your first time here. The course is on the shorter side but makes up for it in the challenging layout. Hit em straight and have fun.
Had the chance to play this course last Friday. It is absolutely beautiful. The course will ask you to use nearly every club in your bag. I played it from the blacks and it was a great challenge. The views though. My god, some of the prettiest in the country.
I seem to play this beautiful course a fair bit. It always has a cross wind that seems to always flow down into the valley. If you have a strong slice, be prepared to lose balls. It’s worth the experience and the lost balls.
