  • Great waterfall! The main attraction I'd very fun and easy for the whole family! Watch out about what you hear about the hike to middle falls. Not something you would do in sandals or with elderly or young kids, it's about a hour or more of uphill and downhill hiking, with slippery, rocky terrain! Regardless, very fun!

  • If you're coming from Duluth, you've likely stopped to see at least a few waterfalls, and may even be a bit tired of them. But keep going to High Falls, in Grand Portage State Park, because it's arguably the most breathtaking of them all! It's also pretty fun to walk along the Pigeon River, and know that Canada is just on the opposite bank.

  • Went to check out high falls and was very happy with the experience. We went up the trail to middle falls but it wasn't posted with a distance. It was a long way up hill before we saw the sign for the falls 1.2 miles further. We went for the scenic overlooks also posted much nearer to the sign and turned back. Would still love to go back and finish that trail though!

  • Perfect place for hiking. They have short hikes and their longest is a moderate difficulty 7 mile round trip hike to Middle Falls. Just beautiful.

  • Gorgeous park!! The High Falls is well worth the stop and short paved hike!! The dense forest kept the hike pretty cool and enjoyable.
