South Melbourne Market Reviews & Ratings

  • Wonderful place to visit to have a feel of the local market. Seems to be leaning towards being a touristy place but not as touristy as Queen Victoria Market. Interesting local produce and foodstuff.

  • One of the best places for food shopping in the city and also a great place to grab 'sit down' food. Parking costs are also reasonable (if not free) and parking spots are normally very easy to find (both unlike QVM). The whole market area also has a nice vibe, which makes shopping a hole lot less of a chore.

  • Good market place. Don't forget to try fresh orange juice

  • Not too big, some great fresh fruit and vege traders aswell as very helpful butchers and fishmongers....the beautiful food stalls and coffee added to the community feeling...I love it...oh yea the food stalls and restaurants on cecil street are soo much fun...Gozleme...yummm, a wondeful intro to Melbourne food culture....

  • Good place for nuts, tea, seafood
