There are also many picnic tables available for visitors.
The shore is a great place for beach walking and one can find many sea shells here. The sunsets are beautiful and romantic here.

There were not so many RVs parked since it was after the busy season. We drive through it to go to Pier 19 and it was well presentable. There were also some little cabins in the area that seemed like it would be a nice place to stay. The park is right on the bay with a small fenced dog park and within walking distance to the Pier 19 restaurant.
There was a lot of construction going on in the park when we went. It made it very difficult maneuvering our class A motorhome, nearly impossible actually. The park has a nice set up and the beaches were clean but as already mentioned, the construction is a nightmare. We would like to come back when it’s finished and see what they have to offer. The office staff was nice but they do not give good directions or get in a hurry, it took about 45 minutes to check in with one person ahead of us.
They have an excellent beach, there are too many rocks and shells. It is also a semi protected beach, as the jetty blocks some of the rough waves found elsewhere on the island. The jetty can also be used for fishing. We didn't get anything, but we saw a juvenile sea turtle swimming around. The jetty is also a good spot for watching the ship traffic. This beach was really nice for younger children.
Had a great day enjoying the surf, sand, and sea! Watching the coastal birds interact is always interesting! Boogie board in tow, I caught both waves and rays. Rest and relaxation? Mission accomplished.
Decent campground, some odd campsites. Under renovation so that should improve it. Nice beach area.
